Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the PowerPullUp application and its developer process user data. By using PowerPullUp you agree to the practices described here.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or data processing, contact us at info@powerpullup.pro.

01Who we are

Developer: PowerPullUp
Contact: info@powerpullup.pro
Website: https://powerpullup.pro

PowerPullUp is a fitness app that counts pull-ups using your iPhone's built-in motion sensors, tracks training history and progress, and provides a 100-day training program. The app is published on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

02What data we process

Depending on the features you use, the app may process the following categories of data:

2.1 Fitness and motion data

  • Pull-up repetition counts per set, per session, and per training day
  • Workout duration, sets count, manual adjustments to counts
  • Best single-set rep counts, longest streak, weekly progress
  • Phases of each repetition detected from the iPhone's motion sensors (Core Motion deviceMotion API)

This data is collected only while the app is in active use during a workout. There is no background motion tracking.

2.2 Workout history

  • Locally cached training sessions (date, mode, reps, sets, duration)
  • Achievements unlocked, current league assignment

2.3 Technical and diagnostic data

  • App version, iOS version, device model
  • Crash reports and stability metrics (via Firebase Crashlytics)
  • Performance traces (subscription / session-save round-trip times)
  • Aggregated in-app events for funnel analysis (via Firebase Analytics)

2.4 Subscription and access data

  • Subscription status from Apple App Store (active / trial / expired)
  • Promo code redemption events (the code itself is processed by Apple; we only observe the resulting entitlement)
  • Whether a free trial was started

2.5 Anonymous identifiers

  • Firebase Installation ID — used to associate anonymous activity with a single device instance. Does not contain the IDFA, device name, Apple ID, email, phone number, or any personally-identifiable info.
  • Firebase Anonymous Authentication UID — same purpose, scoped per app install.

We do not collect: name, email (unless you contact support), phone number, real-world location, IDFA / advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, calendar, files, biometrics, or health data from Apple Health.

03Why data is used

Data is used solely for:

  • Counting pull-ups during workouts and saving the results
  • Maintaining your training history, statistics, and progress
  • Adapting the 100-day program to your performance
  • Showing achievements, streaks, and personal records
  • Operating the leaderboard (when enabled)
  • Providing premium ("Pro") features to subscribed users
  • Honoring App Store offer code redemptions
  • Improving app stability and quality through anonymous crash reports and aggregated analytics
  • Responding to your support requests

04Apple Motion and Fitness data — special note

PowerPullUp uses the iPhone's Core Motion framework. Per Apple's App Store guidelines and our compliance commitment:

  • We do not use motion data for advertising, marketing, or data-mining.
  • We do not share motion data with third parties other than what is technically required to operate the app (Firebase Analytics aggregates only counts and durations, never raw sensor streams).
  • We do not sell motion data.
  • iOS will prompt you the first time the app reads motion data; you can deny or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

05Device permissions we request

PermissionWhy
Motion & Fitness (NSMotionUsageDescription)Required to count pull-ups via the motion sensors. The app cannot count automatically without this — manual tap-to-count is the fallback.
Notifications (optional)Daily workout reminders, configured by you in Settings. You may disable in iOS Settings or in the app.

We do not request: Camera, Microphone, Location, Photos, Contacts, HealthKit, Bluetooth, or any other sensitive permissions.

06Where data is stored

LocationPurposeRetention
Your iPhone (local storage)Training history, preferences, achievementsUntil you delete the app or clear data
Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud)Leaderboard sessions, anonymous user recordUntil you request deletion (see §10)
Firebase CrashlyticsCrash reportsPer Google's retention policy (typically ≤90 days)
Firebase AnalyticsAggregated event countsPer Google's retention policy (typically ≤14 months)
Apple App StoreSubscription / purchase historyPer Apple's policy

All cloud data is associated with your anonymous Firebase Installation ID. There is no link between this ID and your real-world identity unless you explicitly provide it (e.g., when emailing support).

We do not integrate any advertising SDK, attribution SDK, or social SDK that would receive your data.

08Subscriptions and payments

PowerPullUp Pro is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through the Apple App Store. Payment processing, billing, refunds, and cancellations are handled entirely by Apple — we have no access to your payment method, full card number, or billing address.

We receive only:

  • Whether your subscription is active
  • The product identifier (monthly / yearly / lifetime)
  • The next renewal date (or expiration date)
  • Whether a free trial has started

App Store Offer Codes (promo codes for free or discounted access) are redeemed through Apple's system sheet inside the app. The code itself is processed by Apple — we observe only the resulting entitlement change via StoreKit's Transaction.updates stream.

09Children's privacy

PowerPullUp is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the app without proper consent, contact info@powerpullup.pro and we will review the request.

10Your rights

You may:

  • Access your data — request a copy via info@powerpullup.pro
  • Correct inaccurate data — request via the same email
  • Delete your data — either via the app's built-in "Delete account" feature (Settings → Account → Delete account), by uninstalling the app, or by emailing info@powerpullup.pro
  • Withdraw consent for motion data — revoke the Motion & Fitness permission in iOS Settings; the app will switch to manual tap mode
  • Opt out of analytics — disable in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (note: PowerPullUp does not use IDFA, so this primarily affects Firebase Analytics granularity, not blocking)
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (e.g., GDPR rights in the EU)

Requests are processed within 30 days.

11Data protection measures

  • All cloud traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS / TLS 1.2+).
  • Firebase data at rest is encrypted by Google's standard cloud infrastructure (AES-256).
  • No PII (name, email, phone) is stored in our backend unless you explicitly include it in a support email.
  • Suspicious sessions (rep rates faster than 2/sec, debug-mode flags, manual-adjustment heavy) are flagged client-side and excluded from the leaderboard server-side.

12Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always published at https://powerpullup.pro/privacy.

The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after publication of an updated version constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
